HISTORIC CENTRE - VICOPISANO

Appartamento Dante Charming is one of 5 apartments located in a 12th Century Fortress in the historic centre of Vicopisano. Ideal for small family or a small group of friends.

To stay within this Medieval-styled resort ‘Il Fortino’ is like stepping back in time to the period of the mighty Renaissance architect and engineer Filippo Brunelleschi, who fortified this little town during the 15th Century. It’s hard to believe that this comfortable characteristic apartment with modern amenities such as Wi-Fi and air conditioning was once a small barn and kitchen coop within the original fortress complex.

The apartment has its own independent entrance and shares a pool and gardens with 4 other apartments. There is also a communal kitchen on the ground floor close to the pool and sundeck where you will have the use of a second fridge and freezer so you can keep your beers and wine cool while relaxing by the pool. We are also able to organise Tuscan cooking experiences in this space.

THE SPACE

GROUND FLOOR 

Character stone-built fully equipped kitchen with spacious countertops, granite sink and induction hob. A rustic Tuscan table seats 6 people, to the left there is a cosy relaxing corner with a 2-seater sofa bed and television. 

KITCHEN The traditional rustic Tuscan kitchen consists of a sink set into a large countertop, an induction hob, a fridge and a dishwasher set into the built-in kitchen. You will find a microwave, kettle, toaster and everything required to prepare a delicious Tuscan dinner. The dining area has a large rustic Tuscan table and chairs together with Medieval chandeliers. 

UPPER FLOOR BEDROOM 1 

The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. There is a romantic antique Tuscan double bed with a rustic wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The ensuite bathroom has a large shower, toilet and a stone sink set into an antique sewing machine table. 

BEDROOM 2 

This bedroom has a set of bunk beds that can sleep with children or adults. BATHROOM 2 This bathroom has a large shower, toilet and a stone sink mounted on an antique sewing machine table. OUTSIDE AREAS Communal garden and pool area in addition to a communal kitchen with dedicated fridge and freezer space.

ACCESS AND PARKING

The apartment is located on the second floor access is by two stone staircases of approximately 6 steps in each. Free street parking is available a 5-minute walk from the Medieval resort. The Fortress has a large courtyard at the front of the building where you can park the car for unloading and repacking at arrival and departure times Please note that parking in the courtyard for the duration of your stay is not possible.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

There is a dry cleaning laundry service and the use of a washing machine which is shared between the 5 apartments.
